Welcome to Essence Psychology.

Essence Psychology is a therapeutic space that supports gentle exploration of your authentic self - beyond family patterns, societal expectations, and past experiences.

Founded by Dr Kate Wallbank, the practice centres on depth-oriented, evidence-based psychological therapy informed by trauma-aware and nervous system-focused principles, to support emotional growth and meaningful change over time.

I work with individuals navigating a range of challenges, including personal and relationship issues, anxiety, trauma, and identity exploration. Medicare and DVA referrals are accepted.

Therapy is not about quick fixes.

While some concerns are simple and require a few sessions, other issues benefit from longer-term treatment. Therapy is a collaborative process that supports deeper self-understanding and increased clarity over time.
